"I can't do this anymore," declares Simon after poor auditions

Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell has declared he cannot continue with the show after more poor auditions at London. After the Cardiff auditions were branded ‘the worst ever’, the panel didn’t think the talent could get any worse – especially in the capital, but they were wrong!

Acts auditioning in front of the three judges in London this week have included a woman playing a hosepipe connected to a toy penguin as a musical instrument, a stripping estate agent and a pony dancing to Michael Jackson’s hit Billie Jean.

Simon told 3,000-strong audience after the auditions: “What the bloody hell? I am not going to be back next year.

“I am not kidding. I can’t do this anymore. I am 50 years old.”

An insider told The Sun: “Simon didn’t think the auditions could get any worse after Cardiff, but London proved they could. The run of contestants was dismal.

“The judges just hope that some talent emerges before they wrap up the auditions.”

London auditions continue Today, let’s hope some real talent emerges quickly…

  2. I was very disppointed to hear that Britain Has Got Talent has started already. My niece auditioned in London, she has a very good singing voice, she is good and all her mates, few weddings she has sand have praised her for the lovely voice.

The disppointing part is that, she didn’t hear anything from the organisers, they promised to write to her sometime in January/February but nothing, only to hear that the talent show has stated. Even a refusal letter could have been ok.

    • My daughter also auditioned in London and is a beautiful singer, attractive and lovely personality – she has quite a unique bluesy contralto voice and is only eighteen. Her friends, neighbours and family are astounded when they hear her. After travelling from the west country to london and waiting 5 hours she was given a few seconds to sing for the audition. We have had no contact – not heard a thing. The whole exercise was costly and extremely humiliating. I know because I went with her as she was under 18yrs at the time.
This is not a talent contest but a money spinning show. We could quite believe it if her filmed audition was not even played back or there was no film in the camera by then. Some sort of explanation or apology is required.

  3. put my name down for the auditions months ago, i never even got as much as a whisper, or thanks but no thanks. On what do they base the choice who gets to audition or who doesn’t. I thought it was supposed to be for anyone who had talent. How will they know if I have or not. I nver got a look in. I am one of the best vocalists on this planet and still nobody listens. What does it take for someone to give me a chance to show that I am the male equivalent of Susan Boyle. I feel pretty let down with it all. If you get to read this Mr. Simon Cowell, stop complaining about bad auditions and give us talented people a chance.!!
